Live Sound Term
gain - When an electrical circuit increases the amplitude of a signal, it is said to have gain. The amount of gain is measured in decibels. Circuits that reduce the amplitude of a passing signal are called attenuators. The special case when a signal is passed without changing levels is called unity gain.
Business Term
absolute advantage - in international economics, capability of one producer to produce a given good using fewer resources than any other producer.
